WHAT IS FINE ART SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY?
A more modern approach to school photography, that is both personal and professional. Instead of cheesy forced smiles and unflattering backgrounds, we provide authentic and timeless portraits. My goal is to photograph the child without forced smiles and allow for a fun and relaxed environment to allow them to be themselves.
WHY DO PARENTS LOVE FINE ART PORTRAITS?
These boutique school photography allows the opportunity to capture the personality and the spirit of each child, without awkward poses, cheesy props, and busy backgrounds. Our portraits photograph the child against a simple backdrop, in a fun, light-hearted environment where each kid can relax and be themselves. This may mean a big toothless giggle from a Kindergartner, or an icy, model worthy stare from a middle-schooler, but either way it has personality. The results are classic and timeless pieces of art that are worthy of hanging on your walls.
I make a point of capturing sibling images – a service not generally offered by traditional school photographers.
WHAT WILL THE SCHOOL NEED TO DO ON PHOTO DAY
Really, I take care of almost everything! I take all the busy work out of the hands of my schools. A detailed document with instructions for ordering and preparing for photo day will be provided to each school to be distributed to families prior to photo day. I handle any questions from parents regarding the shoot itself, photo ordering and products. I provide all the equipment and assistants needed for photo day. I will also provide the school with all the digital files to be used at your discretion – typically for yearbooks, school IDs and the like.
HOW MUCH DOES THIS SERVICE COST?
There is no cost to the school! In fact, each school will receive 10% of my profits to help with funds or however they need. For the parents, there is no up front costs to parents and no obligation to purchase. I offer prints, canvases, and digital files to parents at a cost that is very comparative to traditional school photography.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
No more preordered forms that can be lost or forgotten. All my prints and products are managed online as well as the galleries. Each child will have 3-7 images in color and black and white. The families will be able to chose the photos they want printed (as opposed to having them chosen for them). I make the process very simple and provide written information for the families regarding all ordering procedures and preparation for photo day. Once the prints have been ordered they will be delivered directly to the school.
**Because I take on only a few, select schools every year, I am able to provide a custom and personal service to each school, and produce superior artistic images.
