“BEST OF THE BEST”
I literally could of spent my entire day going through my sessions of 2020 to find the “best of” from each session. Each session is so different and has had something that reminds me of them. The ones I chose are the one’s that came to my mind first. Please know if your session is not on here, it is only because I did not think of something clever in time.. But I promise I could. Every session is special and unique to me.
MOST MEMORABLE SUNSET AWARD
Love me a good sunset…. where the families are glowing and the sky is orange. I couldn’t decide between these two!
BEST SURPRISE/MOST EMOTIONAL WEDDING OF THE YEAR
Pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye during this surprise wedding. Not even mine. The bride thought her wedding was cancelled due to the Pandemic, however her Best friend and Husband pulled this amazing surprise off at Fort Fisher/Kure Beach. Loved that I got to be a part of it.
CUTEST BABY ANNOUNCEMENT AWARD
I mean, how cute are they???? I loved all my baby announcements this year but everyone knows I am a sucker for dogs and I couldn’t stop smiling with this one. Plus, gorgeous light always in Oak Island, NC.
WETTEST SESSION OF THE YEAR AWARD
Three way tie for this, but the bottom shot DEFINITELY had the biggest wave. I love the water shots!
BEST SILHOUETTE AWARD
Another tie but I just love a good silhouette. These were each so different so I had to include both.
MOST ENERGETIC AND PLAYFUL KIDS AWARD
I hope they stay this playful forever! I think the mom of this session will appreciate and laugh at this award. Pretty sure they will win every year too. I LOVE photographing this family because I burn my calories, they are up for anything, and I get some of my favorite photos from them every year.
MOST GIRLS ON A TRIP AWARD
This was a super fun session. All I could think was how:
1. I need to plan a fun trip like this
2. I want a little girl
3. That could be a lot of girl drama in one house
BLUEST PRETTIEST EYES AWARD
When I thought of an award for eyes, this little boy immediately popped into my head. Not sure how his mom can ever say no to this face.
BEST SIBLING OUTFIT AWARD
I just loved these outfits! They looked amazing how they matched the sunset that evening.

BEST DRESSED FOR COLD WEATHER AT THE BEACH
When having a photo session at the beach in December sometimes it may be hard to decide what to wear. This family pulled off best Winter dressed award easily. Loved their coordinating colors and fall-ish vibe. Couldn’t decide if they should win this or best hair though!

BEST SWIMSUIT SESSION AWARD
Loved this fun beach session in swimsuits at Wrightsville Beach, NC. I just feel like swimsuit sessions should be a thing at the beach. I don’t get this request enough. This family is also always dressed in the cutest outfits by Shrimp and Grits kids and RuffleButts.
