What does a session with me look like?

I strive to make sure every session with me focuses on YOUR family’s unique connection and love. I aim to take the seriousness and stress out of your photo session with relaxed and meaningful sessions while capturing you/your children as they are in this moment. I want to document all the little things. The details that make up your story and your family.

I tend to take a lifestyle photography approach. Instead of posing you into uncomfortable situations I guide you and direct you in a way that will provide you with the best possible photos.

So what can you expect in my family sessions? Well keep reading for some examples!

1.PHOTOS WHERE EVERYONE IS LOOKING

This will make up a very small percentage of your gallery. This is for the grandparents who like the traditional photo and of course for you to have the one where you see everyone looking.

2. PHOTOS OF CHILD/CHILDREN WITH EACH PARENT

I love documenting the unique and special relationship with each parent.

3. PHOTOS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CHILD

I love the close-ups of each kid!!!

4. SIBLING RELATIONSHIPS

Most of the time, I try to capture these as candids to show their real sibling relationship.

5. PLAYFUL AND MOVEMENT PHOTOS

I love these the best because it allows the kids and family to have fun during the session and for me to capture genuine laughs and smiles.

6. CREATIVE PHOTOS

I love being able to turn some amazing captures into creative photos for the family such as silhouettes and those with sun flares.

7. CANDID PHOTOS

You will see many of these photos in your gallery. My candid photos are usually begin as prompted so families can take the uneasiness and guessing out of the session. This makes for a very relaxed photo shoot.

8. ENVIRONMENTALLY FOCUSED PHOTOS

We are so blessed to live at the beach and have other beautiful areas to have photo sessions. I love being able to show these in the family photo shoot.

9. BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOS

There is something that is so timeless about black and white photos. I love being able to portray an emotion of the photo through a black and white edit.
